Photo Shoot

I've had people tell me I'm photogenic & I love getting my picture made.  I decided to update my online portfolio and I wanted to get some professional photos done.  The photographer I used for my senior portraits is still in business. I loved his work, but I wanted something different & more affordable.  I did some research & came across Don Buchanan of No Yield Photography.  His prices were reasonable, he didn't restrict outfit changes, nor did he charge a location fee.  Just a flat rate.  I told him what I liked as far as locations & that most of my life was in Little Rock.  He replied with "I have the perfect place for you in Jacksonville!"  When I read this I was dumbfounded.  I mean this is Jacksonville where could there be a good place?  Oh but there was!  A little park I knew nothing about...Paradise park!
For the photos I wanted to splurge and get my makeup done professionally.  I set an appointment to get it done at Lancome.  Krystal did an amazing job on my makeup.  I couldn't stop looking in the mirror.  I felt beautiful.  I had a few outfits picked out but wasn't too crazy about them.  I decided to stop by Lane Bryant & see if I found anything else.  I saw a sky blue lightweight sweater and I paired it with a black tank.  I put them on and my face lit up!  The make up complimented the outfit!  I started dancing & smiling in the dressing room.  I looked amazing & I felt beautiful!  I don't think I've ever gotten that excited over the way I looked when trying on an outfit!
I met Don & his assistant Dee at the park.  We discussed what I wanted  & began shooting.  It had rained recently which meant there were areas that were a bit muddy and of course I chose to wear heels.  There was one spot we both agreed would be a great photo op.  However we had to cross mud.  Why did I wear heals? lol Don was awesome and offered to carry me over the mud.  I was hesitant, but I let him.  I hadn't been on a persons back since...I can't remember.  It was so much fun!  It was a fun day altogether playing in water & exploring hidden paths.  Oh, did I mention I climbed a tree in heels?  Yeah I did...I surprised myself and threw them for a loop.  I can't wait to see the end results!  He's a great photographer and I felt at ease with him.  Will definitely use him again!
***He's reliable and got the pics back to me with in a week.  He went above and beyond what I expected!  I've had these since March I'm just now getting around to posting them.  There are so many more.  I love to just sit and look at them.  It was a fun day!  My absolute favorite is the one of me walking!
