"I feel good...so good, so good"
I've had the James Brown song "I feel good" going through my head all day today! It has been a day of emotional highs. First my coworker complimented me on my weight loss stating that I looked like I'd lost more than 3lbs. Then I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I noticed that this pudge of fat I have above my stomach has started to decrease. I couldn't believe it! I was ecstatic! This is the first time this part has gone down any. I did a double take a couple of times. Laughing, crying tears of joy. Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? YES!!! It's working! Maybe not the way I thought it would but it's working and that's what matters! So my stomach hasn't gone down yet but who cares. I'm loosing the pudge!!! To tell you the truth the pudge was more of an annoyance to me than my stomach. I now understand why people cry when they've had weight loss and they see their new body. Today was small but I'm sure there are more days like this to come! So I'll dance around a little longer and celebrate this accomplishment.

Amping it up a bit!
Originally I had said that I would update my weight loss on 5/2/16. However I decided to do it a few days early since I had to take my measurements for a workout program.
One thing to remember is that this is not an overnight drastic weight loss program. We didn't get unhealthy overnight so we're not going to get skinny overnight. It's a gradual process. I lost 3lbs! I lost inches in my arms and chest area (that was a shocker!!!) My lower half stayed the same. Let me say this... I'm okay with the results because I didn't do workouts consistently and there were a number of times I ate out due to celebrations or being invited. Let's just say I didn't always make healthy choices as I wanted to enjoy my favorite foods like the Little Caesars lunch combo! I love me some deep dish pepperoni pizza! Makes me hungry just thinking about it! My goal for this next month is to incorporate a consistent exercise program and make healthier eating choices when I'm out and about. I feel great. Hopefully I'll see my lower half drop some inches! Stay tuned for updates and other exciting adventures!

Period Relief
Since I was a teenager I've battled severe cramps, nausea and sickness during my cycle. My stomach becomes sensitive to certain foods. Chocolate, cheese, eggs, spicy foods, cokes and ice water tend to make the cramps worse. I learned to stay away from those foods & drink room temp water. When I gave in due to my cravings I paid for it. There are some meds that can control the cramps but I still had the other symptoms. I was envious of those that had zero problems on there cycle. Oh to be one of those girls!
Since being on this new system my symptoms have drastically decreased.
I've been able to drink the chocolate shake everyday. The cramps were mild enough that I could go without taken medicine or just 1 pill instead of 2. I didn't have to take a sick day because I was sick. Surprisingly the nausea was mild. I'm excited to see how the next cycle will be. I welcome this new trend!
I love the results I'm seeing in me. Contact me for more information.

Chocolate covered cherry
One of my favorite candies is the Queen Anne chocolate covered cherries. When you bite into it the juice oozes over the choolate giving it that wonderful cherry flavor. A friend suggested I mix the
protein drink and coconut milk. This combination is great for getting rid of visceral fat (mostly around your belly). I still haven't found my blender so it was back to shaking it up. The shake was definitely thicker than when I used the water. It tasted like sweet chocolate heaven reminding me of the Queen Ann chocolate covered cherries! If you're not a fan of super sweet drinks you might want to try unsweetened coconut milk. This could honestly be my saving grace when my afternoon chocolate craving hits! I've posted a picture of the products I used (1 packet of each) and the measurement of my stomach. I'll follow up with this topic on May 2 with results!

My journey
I started a new program with new products. I can tell a difference on the days I don't take the products. Overall I like what I am seeing so far. What to now more? Message me!
I also bought the protein drink (chocolate of course for me). It was good and I definitely had more energy that day than on my regular days. I used water with mine. Do not mix it with water it was all I could do to choke it down. DISGUSTING!!!! They recommend using almond or coconut milk. I used a shaker to mix it. It was okay but I prefer mixing protein shakes in the blender as they are thick like a milkshake. My mission this weekend is to find the rest of my blender! It's packed away somewhere :/
Here are 2 before pictures I took this morning. I put foundation on so I wouldn't scare you too much. I about scared myself looking ghostly in the mirror! ;)

Feet First
Do you remember cautiously walking on high dive nervous about what was ahead of you? You get to the end and prepare yourself to jump when all of the sudden you freeze. You can't move and your stomach is turning flips. You can do this! You know you can but everything looks scary from up there. You close your eyes and take a leap of faith jumping off the board into the cool water. You're friends cheer you on as you come to the top. At that moment you realize there was nothing to it and it was fun! You climb out of the pool and get back in line to do it again!
I have addictions I need to take care. I call them addictions instead of cravings because to me that's how I see it. A craving is something you have but can subdue by other means. An addiction is something you can't live without. Over the years my addiction to sugar and chocolate has become intense to the fact that almost every afternoon I had to have some form of chocolate. Let me tell you the bite size pieces don't suffice! lol By feeding my addictions I've put on weight. The extra weight is bad on my knees and causes me to be out of breathe faster.
Recently, I discovered that there is a heredity heart issue in my family. My mom knew about it as her father had it while he was alive. I knew he had heart issues but I didn't know it was hereditary. Now, my mom has developed the same symptoms. Both sides of my family are plagued with heart disease, arthritis and different forms of cancer. I'm making changes in my life to live a healthier lifestyle and possibly decrease the likely-hood of me having these health issues.
I've tried other mainstream weight loss / health supplements over this past year. There were pros and cons as is with anything you try. It wasn't until I was with my mom at her Dr's. appointment for her heart that my eyes where opened. We had talked about getting her on the program I was on at the time so that she could loose some weight. We gave the doctor a list of the ingredients of what I was taking and of the new program.
He said due to her heart condition she could not take the one I was doing however he said the new program was fine.
Knowing that her condition is hereditary and I'm likely to get in the next 20 years I decided to switch to a program I knew a doctor had recommended and would be safe for me.
So here I am at the edge of the diving board jumping in feet first! Join me on my journey to better health and financial freedom. I'll post little things on Facebook and Twitter but my blog will be more up close and personal.
