Faithfulness part 3
The last part of Day 2 talks about Faith Based on Who God is. This is the faith we should have. "Genuine faith walkds steadfastly with God for the pleasure of His company not for His results"- Beth Moore. We are called to seek God's heart not his works. When we have faith based on who God is our faith is not greatly moved. Where as before when we discussed faith based on what God does...that is greatly moved because when things don't work out they way we expect God to work them...we loose faith. Having a faith based on who God is has our "focuses on a God not greatly moved". As we draw closer to God through prayer, the Bible, Bible studies etc. we increase our understanding of His ways. We need to make knowing who God is a priority over what God does. "He may heal one person while He calls the other home. He may be glifiried in the poverty of one and the riches of another. He will likely exalt you one year and humble you the next. Our entire lives are lent to change. But who He is will never change...His heart remains the same. In the midst of a society where the only thing you can count on is that you can't count on anything. God is your gurantee." Beth Moore When our faith is based on who God is it frees God to show us what he can do. We just have to change our focus! She ended the lesson with "Right motives invite real miracles!"
